The Kolacara variety belongs to the old autochthonous varieties. The origin is most likely from Serbia or Bosnia. It was also known in England at the beginning of the last century. It is resistant to diseases and pests, which makes it very suitable for organic production. Kolacara is not grown in a dense cluster, but requires a larger space. One tree can produce up to 200 kg of fruit. The fruit is reddish green in color, slightly flattened. It is low in sugar and has a sour taste. It is also very suitable for diabetics. It ripens in October, but can be kept on the tree for a long time. It looks for extremely sunny positions.
