Sour Cherry is another fruit species that is widely grown in our country. It is an important export product. It is mainly used processed or frozen. The famous cherry is the Oblacinska variety, which is one of the best in the world for processing and freezing. Lately, this sour cherry has been harvested by machine, which makes production and harvesting much cheaper.

The origin of the sour cherry is unknown

The planting interval of the sour cherry tree depends on whether it is grafted or a trained shoot is planted. Grafted sour cherries are planted at a distance of 4.00 x 2.50 – 4.00 m, while ungrafted trained shoots of Oblacinska sour cherries are planted at a distance of 4.00-4.50 m x 2.50 – 3.50 m.Our sour cherry seedlings are produced and grown in our nursery. The starting material, grafted buds, shoots and rootstocks, for the production of cherry seedlings we use from our mother plants, which were planted from cherry seedlings of the base category. The mother plants are elongated in locations that have spatial isolation, as well as in specially protected areas, so-called nets that are protected with anti-insect nets. Thanks to this fact, we produce seedlings of the highest certified category and for seedlings we have all the certificates issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia.
