Over thousands of years ago, man discovered the sweet, delicious berries of the vine, and then the intoxicating power of fermented grape juice. Since then, the vine has become irreplaceable in any respect. Grapes are used fresh, processed into wine or distillates, for drying and for juices.
Grapes have an extremely high nutritional value and a large number of ingredients that are extremely important for the human body. Depending on the variety, grapes contain 12-30% of sugar, which are mainly in the form of easily absorbable hexose-fructose and glucose. For the sake of comparison, the energy value of 1 kg of grapes is equal to the energy value of 1.2 kg of potatoes, 1.1 kg of milk or 0.5 kg of meat. Regarding the mineral complex, grapes are rich in K, Ca, Na, Mg, P, S , Fe, Cu, Mn, Al, B, J and many other elements.
Grapes are used to produce wine and distillate, from which, among other things, cognac is made. The benefits of wine on the human body have been known since ancient times. Red wine is rich in proanthocyanidoles, which are extremely powerful antioxidants and help remove free radicals from the body, rationalize the body with vitamin C, have antibacterial and antiviral effects, protect the heart from heart attacks, and slow down cell aging.
Spacing of planting vine cuttings is 2.7-3 m x 0.8-1.2 in a row. Increasing the density of planting makes it possible to have a larger number of vines per hectare, which will bear a smaller crop and thus produce better quality grapes, i.e. grapes with a higher content of sugar and a complex of mineral substances and acids. Wines obtained from such grapes are of much higher quality and have a higher percentage of extract.
Our vine grafts are produced and grown in our nursery. We use the starting material, bud grafts and cuttings for the production of vine grafts from our mother plants, which were planted from vine grafts of the base category. The basic planting material is from leading institutes from Italy, France and Germany. The mother plants are grown in locations that have spatial isolation. Thanks to this fact, we produce vine grafts of certified category and for vine grafts we have all the certificates issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia.
