The Cardinal grape variety was created as a result of crossing the Flame Tokay x Ribier varieties. It was created by E. Snyder and F. Harmon in 1939 at the Experiment Station in Fresno, California. It was introduced here in 1960. Cardinal is a table variety for eating known all over the world.

Stablo The variety is very vigorous. It gives very high yields. Crouch regenerates well.

Plod The cluster is large, 300-600 g, medium compact. The berries are very large, uniform in size.
Ukus The skin is reddish-purple in color, and in the advanced stage of maturity it is purple-blue in color. The meat is firm, crispy and has a pleasant aroma. It tolerates transportation well.
