Leskovacka quince is an old Serbian variety of quince. Although the origin has not been determined, there are records that due to its resemblance to the quince of Asia Minor, Karali ayvasi, which are also of high quality, was transferred to the Balkans from Asia Minor during the Turkish rule. Currently, it is the most common variety of quince in Serbia. It is also found in orchards throughout Europe. As for the aroma, Leskovacka quince has no equals.

Description

Stablo Leskovac quince initially has a strong growth which later decreases when the plant start produce crops. It has a wide crown. She gives crops regularly and plenty. The branches bend towards the ground under the crops. It gives crops early and gives crops mainly on short fruiting branches.
