American peach variety. It originated at a fruit station in Fresno. It was formed by crossing Prunus persica cv. (110-47 x 109-89) x FV89-14 [(Fireglow x Hiley) x Fireglow]. 110-47 is Kirkman Gem x Dripstone; 109-89 is Kirkman Gem x (J.H. Hale x Rio Oso Gem). He was selected by J.H. Weinberger in 1969, and has been in production since 1974.
