Pruning roses in the summer, ie. during the vegetation phase, it is watered several times. The most important thing is to remove overgrown parts. This encourages the plant to bloom again.

The flowers should be removed immediately after flowering in two ways: in the case of tea hybrid roses and poliantha roses that do not bloom in a bouquet, the overbloomed flower is pruned together with the two upper leaves, while in the case of mini roses, polyanthas and climbing roses that bloom in small bouquets, it is pruned immediately below the flower, i.e. above the first five-part sheet.

During the summer, shoots that grow from the substrate should also be removed regularly.

Special attention should be paid to the so-called summer shoots that grow from the base and have an extremely strong growth. Small and atypical flowers for the variety are created on them. These shoots should be shortened above the third pair of leaves. This is how we encourage their branching, slow down growth and get a shoot that we can use next year when maintaining the bush.
